Working together, The Mysterious Benedict Society is able to uncover secrets and thwart the Emergency.
This mystery takes place in Stonestown and in the Learning Institute for the Very Enlightened (L.I.V.E) on Nomansan Island. Reynie Muldoon, Kate Weatherall, Sticky Washington, and Constance Contraire started
off as strangers. Brought together by Mr. Benedict’s puzzling tests, they learned to work together (everyone minus Constance) to complete their mission. Their mission is to infiltrate the Institute, and discover the source of the strange messages emitting from the radio and television. I enjoyed seeing the group work together, using their unique talents to plan and respond to the secrets they uncover.
The characters were all unique, with special talents and obvious differences in personality. Kate had her bucket, Sticky had his memory, Reynie and his skill at understanding emotions, and Constance with her exceptional stubbornness. Despite their differences, they quickly became close friends. Though their mission was difficult, and there were times they felt like it was hopeless, the Mysterious Benedict Society never gave up.
