This story takes place in the Greenglass House, a smugglers inn located in Nagspeake; though the old house holds many secrets. Milo was just looking forward to a peaceful winter with his family, but it becomes obvious on the first night that that won’t be quite what happens.
The mystery was suspenseful, and it was exciting to discover clues alongside Milo and Meddy. The history of the world and the secrets held by the old house were well thought out and interesting, with mysterious gates, a famous smuggler, and someone who knows more than they let on.
