Hunters of Chaos
“We were the Wildcats… And, together, we couldn’t fail”
Ana Cetzal’s life is turned upside down when she’s offered a spot at an exclusive boarding school in New Mexico. She’s surrounded by girls wearing the latest fashions and think nothing of using the school's private jet for a dinner at home.
Ever since Ana arrived, however, strange things have been happening. Thefts, terrible storms, power failures- even earthquakes! To make things worse, some of the girls are even starting to blame her.
Then Ana meets three girls, all of whom have one thing in common; their families have given the school’s museum priceless objects. The only question is why?
When a Mayan vase is smashed and releases ancient demons, Ana and her friends discover something else they have in common- the ability to turn into wild cats.
Now they must use their new abilities and work together against a powerful demon and the Brotherhood of Chaos.

The theme of this book is about friendship and working together.
This book is set in a modern day world, where magic is kept secret. The magic in question is based on several different types of mythology, including Egyptian and Mayan. The magic also includes a select few with the ability to transform into wild cats.
The characters come from a wide range of cultures, and it was interesting to read how they went from enemies to friends. Their friendship wasn’t sudden and the situations that led to it seemed reasonable. Some characters were annoying at the beginning, acting as though they were better than Ana because they came from rich families. At first Ana struggled with it, but she was ultimately able to ignore it with the help of her new friends.
This book contains mentions of violence and weapons, including the use of a flail.
I enjoyed watching these characters become better friends and work their way through the conflicts that they face. The plot is interesting and creative and the characters are likeable as well. The main character was kind, though nervous in her new setting, and while the other characters started off seeming haughty, they gradually became nicer and closer friends. At first they simply needed to work with each other, though they gradually became friends as they realised how much more they had in common.
